Accessibility Statement

Accessibility is part of how every Efficify site is built, including this one. We want everyone to be able to read this site, move around it and get in touch, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

Our standard

This website is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard most accessibility laws and ADA website claims are measured against, and it is the standard we hold every client site to.

What that means in practice

  • Text and background colors meet the AA contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, so copy stays readable in bright sun and for people with low vision.
  • Everything works with a keyboard alone. Every link, button and form field can be reached with Tab and used with Enter or Space, and whatever has focus is always visibly outlined.
  • Pages use real headings, landmarks and descriptive link text so screen-reader users can jump straight to what they need. A “Skip to content” link is the first thing on every page.
  • Every form field has a visible label, required fields are marked in words, and errors are explained in text next to the field and announced to assistive technology.
  • Icons are decorative and hidden from screen readers; the logo carries a text alternative.
  • Smooth scrolling and transitions are switched off when your system asks for reduced motion.
  • Layouts reflow to narrow screens and work at 200% zoom without sideways scrolling.

How we check

Each page is tested with automated tools (axe and Lighthouse) and by hand: keyboard only, zoomed in, and on real phones.
